In a LONG Radio/TV career, Doug has dealt with countless Stars and Celebrities. As a Radio Talk Show Host interviewing the BIG names of entertainment and as a Producer/ Director/Writer, having worked with such luminaries as Sammy Davis Jr., Rip Taylor and even Liberace. Of the hundreds of 'Star' interviews Doug did over the years one of the favorites was with Blues Legend, Mr. B.B. King. This took place at Lake Tahoe in the 80's. Mr. King came to the studio on a weekend day when it was just Doug and B.B. kickin' back on the microphone, recording an interview for a later play. The consumate gentleman showed his sence of humor and even knocked out a riff on an unplugged Lucille(!). During the conversation, a couple of the commercials Doug had voiced were inserted, B.B. recognized the voice and made the quoted comment to the radio audience. A wonderful compliment from a great entertainer like B.B. King is hard to forget even if the 'rest' of the conversation is lost in time.
